Currently, we service the Florida area, from Jacksonville to Miami.
Specifically, within a 150-nautical mile radius of the Melbourne, Florida area. In order better serve you in the event of an emergency, you must be within the emergency coverage area to affect a rescue. This coverage area is indicated on the application’s map by a green circle – maintaining your float plan within this area will allow a rescue service. Review this area before starting your excursion. Our rescue base locations may change or increase and as such rescue coverage areas are subject to change. Check the application map on a regular basis for up-to-date coverage areas.

Waves Rescue is not an insurance company.
Each of our rescue bases is staffed 24/7 with highly trained pilots, crew, chiefs, and rescue personnel. After assessing the extent of the emergency, additional rescue services may be called upon.
Waves Rescue App requires a 6-digit activation code to be entered after first-time login in order to fully access the app. The activation code can be found on the membership confirmation page.
While on your vessel, if you feel you are in danger and require immediate assistance you can activate your emergency button within the app. Having access to your device(s) is essential and that includes password availability. Once activated, the signal will go to the Waves Rescue operation center and your emergency contacts will also be notified. The sooner this is activated the quicker the response time. You will be contacted by one of our operation center personnel while the rescue team is in transit.
